Mar 20, 2002 - 11:11 ET Antrim Energy Inc. Reports Close of New Zealand Asset Disposition

CALGARY, ALBERTA--ANTRIM ENERGY INC. (TSE: "AEN", "Antrim") 
reports it has closed the transaction previously announced on 
January 15, 2002, whereby the Company disposed of the entire 
interest in its New Zealand assets to Swift Energy Company 
("Swift").  Pursuant to the transaction, Antrim received 220,000 
common shares of Swift and a cash component of approximately 
US$530,000. 

Swift is a United States based oil and gas exploration and 
development company with a focus on the development of oil and 
natural gas reserves in the US market and in New Zealand. The 
common shares of Swift trade on the facilities of the New York 
Stock Exchange under the symbol "SFY". 

Antrim is committed to a strategy of growth through high impact 
global exploration supported by cash flow from an expanding 
production base. The Company currently has no debt and produces 
approximately 500 barrels of oil per day.
