Aug 6, 2003 - 11:51 ET Antrim Energy Inc. Wins 2 Blocks in the UK North Sea 21st Bid Round

CALGARY, ALBERTA and LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--Antrim Energy Inc. 
("Antrim") is pleased to advise that it has been offered 2 blocks 
in the southern North Sea gas basin as a result of the 
competitive 21st Offshore Licensing Round which closed 8 May, 
2003. Blocks 42/21 and 42/22 are being offered as new "Promote" 
licences to Antrim and its UK partner, Wham Energy Ltd. Under the 
terms of the awards, Antrim has two years in which to commit to 
the drilling of one well or drop the blocks. Antrim has a 20% 
initial interest in the blocks with the option, under an 
agreement with its UK partner, to increase its equity up to 60% 
within one year of the date of the official licence award. This 
award comes one week after Antrim's first trading day on the UK's 
London Stock Exchange. 

In Argentina, Antrim, through it's wholly owned subsidiary 
Netherfield Corporation, has been notified that its Capricorn 
Exploration Permit (Yacimiento Norte 1/B) has been officially 
gazetted. The Capricorn Permit, comprising two million acres, was 
originally awarded to Antrim in 2001. Exploration work has 
proceeded through this period and the permit was recently the 
subject to an agreement with Apco International Inc., who funded 
a 3D seismic program on the block. The seismic data acquired 
under this agreement is presently being processed and interpreted 
to verify future drilling locations on the oil bearing trend that 
includes Antrim's Puesto Guardian oil field.
