Oct 21, 2004 - 12:46 ET Antrim Updates Drilling of South Galapagos # 1 Well

CALGARY, ALBERTA and LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 21, 
2004) - Antrim Energy Inc. ("Antrim") announced today that drilling of 
Antrim's South Galapagos #1 exploration well on the NorthWest Shelf of 
Australia has resumed after a routine bit change. The well, currently 
drilling at a depth of 3,367 metres BRT, is to be drilled to a projected 
depth of 3,772 meters subsea in the Jurassic section. Estimated drilling 
time to total depth is six days.

Under the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) listing rules, Antrim's joint 
venture participant Magellan Petroleum Australia Limited ("Magellan") is 
obliged to make routine releases to the ASX on the drilling progress.
